COOK TIME

TOTAL TIME

45 mins

INGREDIENTS

4 baking potatoes (washed-dried-cut into steak fries)

4 strips of bacon (fried and crumbled)

1 cup Mozzarella cheese (grated)

½ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)

For Spicy Seasoning:

1 tablespoon salt

2 teaspoons ground black pepper

1 teaspoon cayenne

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

2 teaspoons garlic powder

2 teaspoons dried minced onion

2 teaspoons dried oregano

2 teaspoons dried thyme

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°.

  2. Wash and dry your baking potatoes. Leave the peel on! Cut them, lengthwise, into quarters and then half those quarters.

  3. Git out a baking pan or casserole dish and grease the pan with a little olive oil or some of that oil cooking spray. Then, lay the wedged potatoes on the greased baking pan or dish. Sprinkle about a tablespoon of olive oil onto the potatoes and use your hands to thoroughly coat the potato wedges with the oil. (I use the leftover oil on my hands to rub it into my poor, dry skin. Us Southerners don’t waste nuthin’!)

  4. Git out a bowl. Add all the spices into the bowl and blend it all together with a spoon. Then, sprinkle the potatoes with some of the spice blend. You don’t need to use it all. Save some spice for when you turn the potatoes.

  5. Bake them potatoes in your 400° oven for 20 minutes. Then, remove them from the oven, flip the potatoes over to their other side and sprinkle with a little more spice blend and place ‘em back in the oven to bake for another 10 minutes.

  6. Now, pull out the potatoes again, sprinkle with the crumbled bacon pieces, and sprinkle the grated Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the top. Then, place ‘em back into the oven and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is all bubbly and melted and beginning to just brown a little.

  7. Take them dee-lish-us steak fries out of the oven and serve ‘em up all hot, spicy, and gooey! Then, call me and invite me over for supper! YUM!
