½ cup fresh basil leaves
1 onion (small/chopped finely)
⅓ cup olives (black or green /chopped finely)
1 /2 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
⅓ cup mozzarella cheese (chopped or grated)
1 pepperoni (sliced)
1 jar Prego pizza sauce (or whatever your favorite is)
1 bag pizza dough (Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods makes a good frozen dough in a bag)
¼ cup olive oil
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat your oven to 500º.
Oil your cast iron skillet with olive oil.
Open defrosted bag of pizza dough. Throw it into the skillet and add a couple of tablespoons of olive oil onto the dough and work it down into the pan to cover the bottom of skillet and up the sides a few inches.
Cover with some plastic wrap and let it rise for 30 minutes.
Remove plastic wrap, push down into pan again.
Bake for 5 minutes.
Take out of the oven and add a couple of tablespoons of Pregp Pizza Sauce and swirl around surface of dough.
Now with whatever ingredients you choose.
Sprinkle with parmesan grated cheese and slices of mozzarella.
Add some basil leaves and a few more tablespoons of pizza tomato sauce and more cheese.
Place skillet pizza in oven and bake for 15 minutes at 500º.
If you like your crust extra crispy, then when you take skillet out of the oven, then stick the skillet pizza on top of a burner for 1-2 minutes.
Serve it up! YUM!!! How easy is that!!!
